Wisegrid keeps the Smartsheet UX your team already lives in (the grid, formulas, Gantt, forms, automations) and removes the parts that nickel-and-dime you: the seat tax on view-only sharing, forced form branding, the per-sheet workflow ceiling, and the cell limit.
Start by bringing your data over. Then notice everything that stopped being a paywall. All shipped today.
Paste a read-only API token. We discover your full landscape, translate formulas to Wisegrid syntax, and mirror sheets and attachments. Your Smartsheet account stays untouched.
Learn more →Give people a scoped, per-person view by email, group, or company domain. View-only collaborators stay free, and no one you share with silently converts into a billable editor seat.1 Each person sees only their slice.
Learn more →Your logo, your colors, no "powered by" line. Off by default on every plan, not a paid de-branding upgrade like Smartsheet's.2 Conditional logic, multi-page, and save-and-resume included.
Learn more →Smartsheet caps a sheet at 150 workflows;3 Wisegrid doesn't. Build the workflows your process needs, with real approval gates that pause and resume. And a per-rule run history so you can see what fired.
Learn more →Up to 1,000,000 cells per sheet (double Smartsheet's 500,000-cell limit4), virtualized so a huge sheet still scrolls smoothly.
Learn more →Cross-sheet Reports that tell you when a run is too big instead of quietly returning a wrong total. And only count the sheets you can read.
Learn more →It mirrors sheets, formulas, attachments, forms, reports, and conditional formatting, and translates cross-sheet references. Automations and dashboards already exist in Wisegrid. The importer doesn’t rebuild those from Smartsheet yet, and it tells you so in the import tree rather than silently dropping them.
Smartsheet's own answer to the 500,000-cell wall is "large-scale sheets," but it's "available to Enterprise plans only," an admin has to opt each sheet in, and, in Smartsheet's own words, "Not all Smartsheet capabilities are supported at this level of scale at this time."5 Reports, the public API, Search, Mobile apps, and Proofs stop working; forms can't be authored and most automations are disabled. The bigger your sheet gets, the less Smartsheet you have.
On Wisegrid, 1,000,000 cells is the normal sheet, included at one flat price, with every feature working. No Enterprise gate, no per-sheet opt-in, no list of things that quietly switch off once your sheet succeeds.
1 Smartsheet's User Subscription Model: "Members count against your plan's paid seat total" (Smartsheet user types documentation), and an internal collaborator who edits a shared item "triggers provisional membership because editing goes beyond what the Contributor seat type allows" (Smartsheet User Subscription Model administrator documentation).
2 Smartsheet form-footer branding: "Only Business and Enterprise users can turn it off to remove Smartsheet branding from the form footer, confirmation footer, and mobile web form. The option is enabled by default for other plan types" (Smartsheet form display and submission options documentation).
3 Smartsheet workflow ceiling: "Each sheet can have up to 150 workflows" (Smartsheet visual workflows documentation).
4 Smartsheet limits each sheet to 500,000 cells: "A sheet cannot exceed a total of 500,000 cells" (Smartsheet API documentation). Wisegrid raises that to 1,000,000.
5 Smartsheet large-scale sheets are "available to Enterprise plans only," and "Not all Smartsheet capabilities are supported at this level of scale at this time" (Smartsheet large-scale sheets documentation).
